What parents should know

Prestonwood Kidz Indoor Playground offers parents a free, indoor play space in Carrollton, located within a church facility. Families appreciate the clean environment and the security of a check-in process at the front desk, which helps maintain a safe atmosphere. The playground is described as spacious, with areas suitable for both toddlers and older elementary-age children, though several parents note that the equipment and layout are especially appealing to kids ages 5 and up.

Parents highlight the friendly and approachable staff, as well as the well-maintained play structures. However, the venue can get crowded, especially on weekdays, and there is no dedicated attendant inside the play area—so active supervision is required. Food and drinks are not allowed inside, but families can leave snacks on benches just outside the play zone. Seating is limited, and the space can fill up quickly during busy times.

A recurring frustration is the unpredictable operating hours; despite posted schedules, some families have found the playground unexpectedly closed. Checking the website or calling ahead is recommended to avoid disappointment. While the overall rating is strong, some reviews mention isolated negative experiences, including concerns about management decisions and communication.

Birthday party hosting is not mentioned in reviews or venue details, so parents should contact the facility directly to confirm if parties are allowed. Overall, this playground is a valued local resource for free indoor play, but may not be ideal for organized celebrations.

Why it may work for birthdays

There is no clear evidence from reviews or venue information that birthday parties are hosted here. The space is primarily described as a free play area with no mention of party packages, reservations, or celebrations. Parents should verify with the venue before planning a party.

Went over here thinking they have a place for toddlers but it was mainly for older kids. Also witnessed them tell a parent to clean up another kid's accident in the slide. I thought that was totally inappropriate and no one had a temporary sign or anything saying kids can't go on the slide! Sorry but I will not be going back.

Today, my family experienced blatant religious discrimination and profiling. After celebrating Eid, we looked up a playground near us and decided to give this place a try, simply wanting our kids to play for an hour and have a good time. Instead, we were denied entry because we were wearing traditional Islamic clothing.I want to note that the officers on-site were incredibly polite and respectful, and I appreciate their kindness. However, discrimination of any kind is inherently wrong. As a Hispanic convert to Islam, a lifelong U.S. resident, and an active-duty U.S. Navy Police Officer holding a security clearance, it is deeply sad to see my family treated as a threat in our own country.True security relies on objective protocols, not profiling based on faith or dress. I would have gladly consented to a standard security search if it were applied equally to everyone, but being barred from entry entirely just for wearing religious attire is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, this directive came straight from upper management. We were initially told we just needed to produce an ID. After I went back and fetched my ID, management shifted the goalposts and used our traditional clothing as the reason to turn us away.In our community, anyone is always welcome at our mosques regardless of their religion. Public spaces should hold themselves to that same standard of respect and inclusion. Upper management needs to take responsibility and address this issue immediately. Thank you for reading this.

SO FUN! my kids are 5-10yo and everyone loved it. We would have stayed longer if we didn't have a schedule.to keep that day. We will definitely be back for more free play! Playground is free but you do need to check in with the desk.
