For kids' birthday party places in Houston, start with Wonderwild for toddlers and preschoolers in the Heights, Giggles and Fun in Katy for a west-side party with shared-play or whole-venue options, and Flip N' Fun for school-age kids who want trampolines and laser tag. The Bunny Hive suits first birthdays with adult guests; Hyper Kidz Westchase includes pizza for the children in its packages. Choose your area first, then compare ages and package totals.

Inner Loop and the Heights

Wonderwild: best for toddlers and preschoolers in the Heights

Wonderwild on North Shepherd has two play areas: the main one for kids 6 and under and Wonderwild(er) for ages 4 to 11. Open play runs on weekdays only; the website lists Saturdays and Sundays as "Closed for Private Parties," so weekend slots are party slots.

The Mini Party is $350 for seven kids: 90 minutes, an hour of it playing, with a private party room. The Basic Party ($420) covers the birthday child and up to 20 guests, but the playground stays open to the public. If you want the play area to yourselves, that's an extra $210, subject to availability. The Ultimate Party ($990) runs two hours for up to 24 kids, with favors and a decorated room. Kids 4 and up can do a Nerf Battle party ($790) on Saturdays and Sundays.

Google reviews from parents praise staff help with setup, serving food and cleanup.

Wonderwild adds a 10% gratuity to every party invoice, plus tax. Deposits are non-refundable. Its policy lists $150 for cancelling or rescheduling 7–13 days ahead and $200 within six days; cancellation within seven days or a no-show can mean paying the full party cost. Everyone wears socks, adults included.

The Bunny Hive: best for a first birthday

The Bunny Hive on Heights Boulevard is a 1,416-square-foot event space with soft play, a changing table, a prep kitchen with a fridge and a back patio, rented whole from $850 for three hours, including setup and breakdown. Rentals are available Fridays from 1 to 8 pm and all day on weekends. A staff member is there for the whole rental, and you can bring your own food, drinks and decorations.

That combination fits a first birthday with adult guests, a cake table and space for babies to play. Google reviews from parents describe first and second birthdays and recommend valet parking. The venue says the space suits "around 30 families," but has only four on-site parking spaces. Valet costs $175 an hour. Bookings are recommended at least ten days ahead.

Children's Museum Houston: best for a museum party (and spy parties for 8+)

Children's Museum Houston is the one Inner Loop pick that works across ages. The Simply Wonderful party ($400 for members, $475 for everyone else) is two hours: one in the exhibits, one in a private party room. Museum admission is included. Slots are Saturdays and Sundays at 9 am, noon and 3 pm.

The package lists museum admission for 30 guests, kids and adults together, with extra guests at $19 each, and the museum requires one adult for every five children. The FAQ on the same page says extra adults are free, so get the adult rule in writing before you invite both parents of every child.

For an 8-year-old, the SECRET Agent party ($625/$700, Saturday and Sunday at noon) is the more interesting choice: 15 kids ages 8 to 15 go on a spy mission with a wrist codex kit, and up to 20 adults can come. The separate Tot*Spot rental ($400 for members, $450 for non-members) is for ages 0–2 on Saturdays and requires one adult per child. Its rules prohibit outside food, so it suits a toddler play gathering rather than a conventional cake party.

For Simply Wonderful and SECRET Agent parties, you can bring cake, ice cream, drinks, goody bags and a cooler; other food must come from the museum café. You pay in full at booking. Cancelling with at least 15 business days' notice gets you a refund minus $50, and after that you lose the whole amount. Google reviews from parents mention weekend crowding in the exhibits.

Nearby, Kidcreate Studio on West 34th Street runs art parties with an instructor, a take-home project and a private room. Prices aren't published, so you'll need a quote. Google reviews from parents describe drop-off parties and a small lobby for parents who stay.

West Houston and Katy

Hyper Kidz Westchase: best for class parties with pizza included

Hyper Kidz on Westheimer is an 18,000-square-foot indoor playground for ages 0 to 13, with packages for 10 to 25 children before a full-facility rental.

The Super package is $399 Friday through Sunday or $349 Monday through Thursday, for 10 kids and up to 20 adults. Each included child gets two slices of pizza and a juice box or water. Bigger packages add five kids at a time, up to the Royal at 25 kids ($699/$649). Extra children are $24.99 on weekends and $19.99 on weekdays. For Super, Mega and Colossal, the two-hour party includes an hour of open play, a bubble dance and 55 minutes in a private party room.

The full-facility private party ($2,399 weekends, $1,899 weekdays, 30 kids) adds a mandatory 10% gratuity and a 6% facility fee. You bring the cake; ice cream cake isn't allowed.

Farther west on Westheimer, Yoyo Adventure Land offers Deluxe and Platinum packages for 10 to 30 kids with a playground, arcade and pizza. Its online prices weren't loading when we checked, so call for a quote.

Giggles and Fun Katy: best for a whole-venue party on a Sunday

Giggles and Fun on Park Row Boulevard is a playground for kids 12 and under, and its pricing rewards flexibility. Every package runs three hours: two hours with the party room and playground, then an hour of open play.

The Basic party (12 kids, shared playground) is $395 on Saturday and $325 on Sunday. The Private package gives you the whole facility for 25 kids at $900 on Saturday or $800 on Sunday. On a Tuesday through Friday, the Weekday Mini is $200 for six kids.

Adults never count toward your total. Outside food is allowed for a $25 fee, and staff can order pizza for you. Deposits ($80 to $300) are non-refundable, but if illness or weather gets in the way, the party moves to the next available date. Google reviews displayed on the Katy party page praise the outside-food option and help from party staff.

Families inside the Beltway have a second Giggles and Fun on South Dairy Ashford, and the Katy venue list has the other west-side options.

Southwest Houston and Sugar Land

Galaxy Playland: best for toddlers when you want to bring your own food

Galaxy Playland on Bellaire Boulevard in southwest Houston is mostly about soft play for little kids, with a slide, ball pit, pebble pit, sensory activities and dress-up. A separate arcade with claw machines and VR keeps older siblings busy. Google reviews from parents describe visits and parties for ages 1 to 5.

The Orbit Bash is $395 plus a $50 cleaning fee for 10 kids, with two hours of play including 30 minutes in a reserved party area, plus 20 arcade credits each. You can add up to five more kids at $15 each. The Exclusive package ($1,095 plus $100 cleaning) closes the whole place for 30 included kids. A limited-slot Lunar Cosmos promotion offers a smaller buyout for 20 kids at $695 plus $75 cleaning, at 10 am–noon or 6–8 pm. Every package lets you bring your own food, non-alcoholic drinks and cake; plates and napkins are included.

The $100 deposit isn't refundable, but you can move it to another party within a year if you give seven days' notice.

Clover Playground & Cafe: best for age-group bookings in Sugar Land

Clover on the Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land (formerly MajestKids Playland) has separate play areas for toddlers and older children, and you book the party as "5 Years & Under" or "6 Years +." Weekend packages include both playgrounds, rather than reserving one age zone for your group.

Weekend packages start at $375 (Classic) and include 10 kids and 11 adults, pizza, water and juice for each child, and both playgrounds. Parties last 2.5 hours, with the private room for the first 1.5. Extra kids are $24 to $28 depending on the package, and extra adults $10. The weekday Mini Birthday Playdate starts at $40 for the birthday child and two adults, plus $26 per additional child and $4 per additional adult. It includes party-room access, and you can bring a small cake or cupcakes.

The Sugar Land venue list covers the other options nearby.

North and Northwest Houston

Lanky Land: best for a compact toddler party on the northwest side

Lanky Land on the Northwest Freeway (U.S. 290) is a playground for ages 1 to 10, with a ball pit, slides, a small carousel and a toddler area. Google reviews from parents say adults can see most of the space from one spot and that staff clean while kids play. Some also find it small or warm when it's busy.

The Silver package is $425 for 10 kids: two hours, including 30 minutes of setup and a 90-minute party. Gold ($575) covers 15 kids and VIP ($850) covers 20 with a separate lounge room. Extra children are $19.99 and extra adults $4.99, with two adults per child allowed. Book Monday through Friday and every package is $100 cheaper. You bring the food, drinks and cake.

A full private rental starts at $1,400. The deposit is non-refundable.

Flip N' Fun: best for school-age kids who want more than trampolines

Flip N' Fun on West Richey Road is the north side's pick for 7- to 12-year-olds. Packages #1 and #2 ($299 for 10 jumpers, $479 for 20) include 90 minutes of trampolines and the ninja course. Packages #3 and #4 ($389 for 10, $649 for 20) add unlimited laser tag and bumper cars, which is what keeps older kids interested once the jumping wears off.

Every package includes grip socks, two hours of party-area seating with an attendant, pizza and unlimited drinks. Extra guests are $18 or $27 depending on the package. Outside food isn't allowed, but cake, cupcakes, fruit, salads and cookies are. KPV's venue summary describes a clean, spacious play space.

Other north and northwest options:

  • Urban Air NW Houston on Hempstead Road has a $174.99 Small Squad package for five guests and Unlimited Play at $349.99 for ten, both with a reserved table and all-day play. Small Squad is a promotion ending October 31, 2026. The $100 private-room upgrade for Unlimited Play also includes two pizzas and two drink pitchers. Tax and a booking fee are extra. Google reviews from parents raise concerns about supervision and service.
  • sTOYrieland in Spring is a small playground with three-hour parties from $250 and a 16-to-20-kid package for $400. A private event starts at $700 for four hours.
  • Geronimo Adventure Park in Spring is the outdoor exception: ziplines and climbing, including the Go Fly zipline course for ages 6 and up, with a reserved picnic area and your own food and cake. Prices aren't published. Save it for spring or fall.

Clear Lake and the Bay Area

The Play Space: best for all-day play in Webster

The Play Space on NASA Parkway has a big climbing structure with tubes, an area for 18 months and under, a 4-and-under zone, arcade games and a café. Party guests can play for the rest of the day and leave and come back, which helps when the birthday child still naps.

Packages come with three or five pizzas, grip socks and a drink per child. Prices only show in the online booking system, but the terms are clear: a $100 deposit goes toward the balance, you pay for the guests who actually show up, and every party gets one free reschedule. Cake, cupcakes and snacks are free to bring, and restaurant or catered food costs $30. Two adults per child get in free.

The Play Space also has a Sugar Land location, listed separately.

How to compare quotes from Houston venues

Check the drive from where most of your guests live, at the hour the party starts. Then request a quote for children and adults separately. Children's Museum Houston's standard package counts both in one allowance; Giggles and Fun counts only children. A private room at Hyper Kidz still means sharing the playground with walk-ins.

For a hypothetical Saturday party with 16 children total, including the birthday child, these are package-and-extra-child subtotals. They exclude tax, booking fees, extra adults and food beyond the package allowance:

Venue Package Price for 16 kids
Flip N' Fun #1: $299 for 10, $18 each extra $407
Urban Air NW Houston Unlimited Play: $349.99 for 10, $24.99 each extra $499.93, or $599.93 with a private room; booking fee extra
Clover Classic: $375 for 10, $24 each extra $519
Hyper Kidz Westchase Super: $399 for 10, $24.99 each extra $548.94
Galaxy Playland Stellar Voyage: $595 + $75 cleaning; Orbit Bash stops at 15 kids $670 including cleaning

Galaxy's entry package stops at 15 kids, so the 16th child triggers a package change. The food allowances also differ: Flip N' Fun #1 includes two pizzas, Clover lists pizza for each child, and Hyper Kidz Super includes two slices only for its 10 included children. Urban Air's base package has bottled water; pizza comes with the room upgrade or costs extra. Those subtotals aren't complete catering quotes.

Questions to ask before paying a deposit

  • Does the guest limit include adults, siblings and babies?
  • Is the play area private, shared with the public, or just the party room?
  • How long is the room yours, and can guests keep playing afterward?
  • Can you bring food and cake, and is there a fee for it?
  • Is the deposit refundable, and what does it cost to move the date if your child gets sick?
  • Are socks or waivers required for every guest?
